The Horsham and Wisborough Green Festival of Lodges came together on Tuesday 8th September for a superb evening of ritual, fellowship, and charitable giving, hosted by Aviation & Combined Services Lodge No. 8504.
The highlight of the night was the Passing Ceremony of Brother Nicholas Beaumont, delivered with precision and dignity.
The ceremony was conducted by WBro Eadin Brown and VWBro Maurice Adams, supported by officers drawn from all participating lodges. This collaborative team delivered the Working Tools and a well‑received explanation of the 2nd Degree Tracing Board, showcasing the strength and unity of the Festival of Lodges.
Following the ceremony, brethren enjoyed an 8504 Style Festive Board, complete with port generously supplied by the Worshipful Master. In true 8504 tradition, “everyone sang for their supper,” adding humour and warmth to an already memorable evening.
The night also demonstrated the charitable heart of the province, raising £410 for the MCF.
Aviation & Combined Services 8504 proved itself an exemplary host, delivering an evening that blended ritual excellence, inter‑lodge cooperation, and good‑natured camaraderie — a true celebration of what the Festival of Lodges stands for.
