Last Friday night Father Christmas toured the streets of East Grinstead, courtesy of an escort from Greenstede, Hinge of Friendship and Three Counties Lodges.
The team gave the people of the town many special moments to remember, especially of Jerry Miller riding a reindeer and Chris Moore in a (padded?) red suit and white beard.
£471 was collected in cash, with more still to be counted in electronic card donations. This will be distributed to local charities through the lodges’ benevolent funds. Jerry said “I am amazed but absolutely delighted at people’s generosity.”

The remainder of the evening was spent in fellowship at the Curry Kitchen.
