Dear Companions
The Festival of Chapters has been held for more than 15 years. In 2025 we were delighted when March & Darnley Chapter hosted the Festival at Horsham. At that meeting, the baton was passed to William de Warenne Chapter, and we are now calling on all the Chapters for their support in holding the 2026 Festival.
The convocation will be held at the Uckfield Masonic Centre on Tuesday 13th January 2026 at 5.30pm. The ceremony will be an Exaltation, and we will be working the new Sussex ritual. As a Chapter, we have used this ritual on several occasions. It has proved popular, and we would encourage other Chapters to either participate or join us to observe.
The ceremonial aspect will be under the direction of the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, E Comp Paul Gosling, and he will be arranging rehearsals as soon as possible. Our first priority is to compile a list of volunteers willing to participate. A list of the offices to be filled is attached and I ask that you advise me promptly at geoffreycornwell@btinternet.com if you wish to be considered. We would really like to spread the work amongst all of the Chapters, and to encourage their members to attend in support of their colleagues.
It is understood that this festival will be supported by our new ME Grand Superintendent and he will be accompanied by a full team. We are determined to make this a meeting that he will remember with pleasure.
